With our family of two (plus Hop, the cat), special occasions tend to be uneventful and we rarely sit down to a set table. Sometimes, though, I have an urge to fancy-it-up just a bit. This year I’m setting a table with these fun Thanksgiving DIY place cards.
Finally. Fall. Welcome, old friend. It’s finally turned chilly here in the Cove. I left my craft room window open overnight and when I walked past this morning on my way to the shower, groggy and half naked (no, I won’t provide more details-hahaha) I was startled by the chill in the air. It did wonders for waking me up, though. And, isn’t there just something about hoppin’ into a hot shower when the air is cold?
With the return of autumn crispness comes settling in; a home cooked meal was prepared last night: faux loaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, Thom’s fried peas, and pumpkin pie for dessert.

I knew that I wanted the first Friday Five Live this month to focus on gratefulness and gratitude. It’s November and our thoughts naturally turn to Thanksgiving but I wanted to dig deeper, learn more. During my podcast-listening and video-watching this week, these three little words stopped me in my tracks. Stop. Look. Go.

I know I’ve been *Heart Eyes* for All Things Fall lately. But since it’s Thursday and Day 3 of #NaBloPoMo, it seems appropriate to post about my summer succulents since: 1. They’re still outside and 2. Because it’s Day 3 of #NaBloPoMo. Insert either *Rolly Eyes* emoji or the *Crying Eyes* emoji.
I’ve never been one to collect knick-knacks-too much dusting involved. I do, however, collect crafty knick-knacks, if there is such a thing. Strike that. There is such a thing because I’m making it a thing! Ha. My collection of all the fall things is growing a little bit every year and I love taking them from their resting spot and bringing them front and center during November. Thanksgiving is so easy to overlook when Halloween is over and the excitement of Christmas approaches. For the last couple of years I’ve made it a point to decorate my mantle-like shelf in the craft room with a Thanksgiving theme.
