I’m Gina, the girl behind Desperately Seeking Gina. I embarked on this search over ten years ago when I realized that what I had been looking for (love, acceptance, purpose) wasn’t to be found in someone else, but in a closer inspection of myself. It’s been blogging and oversharing ever since. And you know what? That saying about setting something free and if it comes back to you, it’s meant to be? It really is true. That “someone else” I had so desperately sought found me through this blog and instead of the closure I so desperately wanted it blossomed into a love story that brought me to Arkansas where I live with my fiancé in a tiny cottage, in a quiet cove, on the shores of Greer’s Ferry Lake. This is where I’m meant to be and I love it.
Here you’ll find:
Creative Living-There’s an artist in me, I’m just not sure which medium is best suited for me so I try them all. I’m a paper crafter, wanna-be wedding maker, sewer, jewelry maker, and writer. I love sharing this creative endeavor-the good and the bad.
Cooking-My fiancé Thom and I love to spend time together in the kitchen. He teaches me to cook with my senses and I try to get him to measure properly, baking is a science after all. When dinner is done (and pictures taken in the truest blogger fashion) I’ll share the recipes and reviews here.
Daily Musings-Life is an adventure, especially when one moves 800 miles from home. After nine years of living in Arkansas I am still finding new places to explore and new people to meet. As much as I’d love to keep the tourists from moving in permanently I love being a cheerleader for this sometimes mis-understood state.
I hope you’ll take a moment to look around that you enjoy what you find. I’d love to connect and you can do so here. Or, you can email me directly at desperatelyseekinggina (at symbol) dot com.
Thanks for stopping by!
