Happy Heart Sticks

Sometimes it’s fun to sit at the craft table and create something from whatever’s in reach. Mom was visiting the craft room (and me) last year when she introduced me to these cute Happy Heart Sticks. I think my niece, Lani, showed her how to make them.

Happy Heart Sticks are incredibly easy to make and can be used for decorations or even book marks. They use basic supplies I had on hand and within reach. Fruity Pineapple Sherbet Punch

My mom used to make this punch for all of the parties at our house on Sullivan. It was a super sweet drink that was also super refreshing because of the pineapple. I turned her recipe into a Fruity Pineapple Sherbet Punch for a fun Valentine’s Day buffet. I love how the chunks of pineapple add to the refreshing quality of this party punch and the white pineapple sherbet floats atop the fruit punch sea like little waves of goodness.

Easy Valentine Sugar Cookie Bars

Valentine’s Day is approaching and while many couples are starting to think about Valentine’s Day gifts and mementos to show their true love, I’m quite happy with sweets, like these Easy Valentine Sugar Cookie Bars. I’d rather have a batch of freshly made sugar cookies than a bouquet of flowers any day. Don’t get me wrong. I love flowers and I love receiving flowers, but buttercream frosting really is the way to my heart. This sugar cookie recipe is SO EASY, even Thom, who hates baking, can whip these up without any problems or hassle. (ahem, hint hint)

Easy Valentine Candy Bar Wrapper

My Easy Valentine Candy Bar Wrapper is SO EASY you’ll wonder why you didn’t think of this fun craft yourself. Or, not. I totally get that we’re not all paper nerds.

Pretty patterned paper is my kryptonite. Really, it makes me weak in the knees and googly eyed. Its pretty colors and fun designs make me dizzy with joy yet it’s so hard to walk away from. 3D Valentine Hearts

3D Valentine Hearts have stolen my mine. I didn’t think anything could push out those adorable love bugs from last week. Maybe there’s room for both of these fun Valentine’s Day crafts, but for now, I’m loving seeing these crafty 3d felt hearts hanging from the ceiling in my craft room and my heart is full. Easy Valentine Love Bugs

Bugs, bugs everywhere! I’m in love with these Easy Valentine Love Bugs probably more than a grown woman should be. But, I don’t care. I’m in love with bugs and I don’t care who knows it.

Really, though. I love the sort of crafts that show themselves to me when I stare into the abyss that is my craft room. I store my Valentine craft supplies together in multiple plastic containers; they’re filled to the brim with stickers, pom poms, and all things pink & red. If I stare into the bins long enough the pretties start staring back me. Literally. Googly eyes, you guys!
