An early day out on Friday was the start of a fabulous weekend. I had to get new tires for the car (boo for money, yay for safety!). I picked up some lunch and read for an hour. It was a beautiful day, sunny and 65. I was excited to be catching a matinee. Going to the movies is a splurge since buying a house. Thom and I usually go once a year.
Weekend In Progress
Currently experiencing the most fabulous weekend I’ve had in a long time. I’ll fill in details tomorrow when I can sit down to tell you all about it over peppermint mocha coffee and a chocolate chunk cookie (or ten).
There’ll be stories of magical hunting expeditions, Christmas caroling, and riding in cars with boys (well, one boy, anyway). I’ll regale you and my future self with tales of extreme shopping and bargain hunting, crafterlust, sunshine, and unicorns to round out the fairy-taleness of it all.
For now I am off to peruse Pinterest and fall asleep with technology. Goodnight, dear Internet-see you in the morning.
So sad tonight reading and watching the Paris coverage. Makes the frivolous stuff I’ve been posting seem so trivial and silly. I suppose the world could use a little light heartedness right now.
I am exhausted today even though I left work early to enjoy a matinee. I well, I didn’t leave early for that reason-i had to get new tires this afternoon and it just so happens to have coincided with Love the Coopers.
Maybe it’s the extra hours I’ve been working since I gave up on the part-time dream. Or, maybe it’s the time change. Whatever it is-I really need to snap out of it.
I’m off to bed early on a Friday night. Goodnight dear friends, or HEY! Good morning!
I’m just here for the gingerbread
There are two things I avoid talking about not only here in my little public space and the accompanying Facebook page, but also-in real life, too: politics and religion. I don’t feel comfortable debating my opinions and why they’re better/worse/more/less informed than anyone else’s. You know the saying opinions are like &*%# everyone has one? It’s my general rule of thumb. Be as informed as you can, make a decision, and let your voices be heard…at the ballot box or church confessional-whatever the case may be.
All the back-and-forth bickering is hurtful, disrespectful, and pointless. People are going to believe what they want, feel what they want, and there will always be someone unhappy with something, or, everything.
#ItsJustACup, people. I just came for the gingerbread. And, because it’s close to work and I needed caffeine STAT.
Personally, I’m a DD girl. And, the red cup is ugly undecorated. But the Caramel Brûlée? Tasted the same in a plain cup. And, I’m sure Jesus still loves me.
(also-what’s everyone talking about? exactly. don’t ya think they’re making a few extra bucks this week?)
Grind your own, loves. I know a great place you can buy some cute reusable cups!
It’s come down to this
11 days in and here it is. The #NaBloPoMo post in which I have nothing to say, no pictures to share, and it’s the last minute before I get into bed.
This day was spent cleaning up the kitchen, watching ELF, and perusing Pinterest. It was lovely.
‘Til tomorrow when I’ll still have nothing exciting to post.
