And when vanilla glaze talks, y’all. We listen. Then, we gobble it up. Right? Righhhht.

In case you hadn’t heard, Gilmore Girls is returning to Netflix this Friday. I didn’t catch the show while it was running, but instead, I binged watched over the summer to get caught up.
Like all Gilmore Girls fanatics I can’t wait for the premiere. Even the thought of Tofurkey can’t diminish my excitement for Friday to get here.

I love catching up on weekend work; crafting; cleaning; blogging; napping.
These are the things that kept me busy today.
I worked on my Facebook Video page most of the morning.
Napping was done mid afternoon.
Pumpkin muffins were baked and drizzled with vanilla glaze in the late afternoon.
Crafting and a little bit of painting took up the early evening.
I tried to think of something to post all day long.
This is as good as it gets today.

I asked some of my Facebook friends to share some of their best advice because what is stressful for me may not be stressful for everyone else and getting other perspectives is more helpful. What I learned most was to be prepared; make lists (be like Santa-check ’em twice); start early; don’t over volunteer; be willing to say “no.”
Don’t do ALL. THE. THINGS. Choose instead, to do what is most important to you. Do only things you love. Hate baking? Don’t do it. Find a bakery or an at-home cottage baker for your homemade treats. Don’t hold on to traditions that you aren’t absolutely loving anymore. If you’re not crafty, don’t put pressure to make one-of-a-kind handmade, from the heart gifts. Shop places like Etsy or local makers for that handmade feel.
The day-to-day chores like housecleaning and meal making still need to be attended to during the holiday season. Make them easier by simplifying. Make ahead freezer meals at-the-ready will save time and frustration. Spot clean daily so you’re not rushing to deep clean at the last minute right before your holiday guests show up.
“Self care” is a term we’re hearing a lot these days. Take time for yourself, whether it’s sitting down for tea, seeing a movie alone, or visiting a library or museum by yourself. Listen to holiday music while you wrap presents. Treat yourself to your favorite seasonal scents; perfume and candles! Stash a good quality chocolate and indulge once a week when the family is tucked in.
Eat healthy. Drink plenty of water. Get sleep. You know, all those things your mom has been telling you all these years. If you feel drained try an all natural energy shot like this one (sponsored link here, friends).
