The lovely ladies over at Arkansas Women Bloggers invited me over to their place to blog about Pinterest and challenged me to re-create one of my pins. Head on over to see what I did! {pssst…there’s a giveaway!}
This is what happens…
…when you go to bed at 7:30.
Snow. I just can’t get away from it.
At least it provides a bit of holiday cheer!
And makes everything pretty. even the air smells different today. Clean. Cold. Cheerful? {I’ll admit I was cheerful about it for a second}
The sun is shining. I haven’t seen the sun shine in days!! I’m so in the mood to cozy up with a bowl of warm noodle soup and listen to Christmas songs. Alas, I am off to work for a few hours. Happy Wednesday, friends! I hope it’s cheerful where you are!
Wishlist
So, what are your thoughts on wishlists, friends? Would you rather receive a list of wants & wishes from friends and family or do you go about gift giving in a different way? I, personally, am a terrible gift giver. I’d much rather know what the giftee has been pining for. My brothers, on the other hand, prefer to select gifts on their own, and yet, they always always get me exactly what I am wanting.
It’s officially birthday month! Another golden birthday: 19 on 19 {that is my official story and I’m sticking to it}. Why is it that at any other time of the year I could name two dozen things I’m loving/wanting at any particular moment, yet the second I’m asked to produce a list I come up blank? Here’s a partial list to get you started 😉
1. Washi tape for scrapbooking and pretty packaging.
2. DVD Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2
3. DVD It’s Complicated
4. Hardcover or Kindle Edition: Then Again by Diane Keaton
5. Toaster oven!!
6. DVD The Family Stone
7. To satisfy my need for immediate gratification Fuji Instax Mini
8. Martha Stewart Paint supplies
9. Salt & Pepper Mills {not necessarily this brand as the reviews were horrible…but I’m LOVING the color}
Weekending
I am giddy with anticipation of a completely work-free weekend, friends. It’s been a few months since I’ve had both Saturday and Sunday free {in fact two days off at any time was non-existent until last week}.
There will be Netflix movies {Super 8 & Water for Elephants} and a selection of holiday favorites while I put up the Christmas tree. There will be carols sung as I deck the halls.
There will be sleeping-in, naps {of which I’ve already indulged in!}, hot cocoa, blog reading, Kindle reading, assorted crafting, and of course, photographing.
I’ve heard from good authority that this guy will be stopping by.
I’ve been a very good girl this year and Santa and I have been friends for a few years. This is a busy time of year at the NP so I’m lucky he has time for me in his busy schedule. I’ll be sure to take a sneak peek at his Naughty or Nice list for your names.
Happy Weekend , lovees! What’re you up to?
December, December!
The red box with light pink peppermint candy swirls gets me every time…especially when I happen to be be browsing the Christmas section at Target. Peppermint screams out “December!” to me. And, what better way to celebrate December 1st than with “Real Junior Mints made with a real candy crunch?” Silly how I forget from year to year that they’re just regular junior mints with a teensy-tiny bit of reddish candy non-pareils added to the top. Oh well…they put me in a good mood.
Happy December, friends!
