Last night Thom asked me if there were any talents I’d swap for anything else. Oh, good question, right?
I told him I’d have to get back to him on that; but I thought of something right away. Well, I thought of two somethings, actually.
Song Bird
People with angelic voices mesmerize me. They can transport me to another place, make all the feels burst forth, lull me, and entertain me. I would find it such a joy to bring that sort of magic to someone’s day.
Piano {Wo}Man
My best forever friend, Melly (I’m Scarlett to her Melly), has magic fingers. She plays so awesomely and with such passion. We’d sit at her piano for hours and I’d make her play so I could sing along. Poor girl. I’m sure her ears were bleeding along with her fingertips after such torture. Good thing she has a loving heart.
The Swap
So what would I give to be talented at either of those things? Thom reminded me of the condition: I’d have to swap talents, what would I give up? My first thought was craftiness. But that brings a sort of joy to others, too. I love to make for people.
I’d have to go with baking/cooking <~~~~which was what brought about this whole conversation last night as we were falling asleep-he thinks I’m a talented baker. That way, I could possibly shed a few pounds. Hahaha! And anyway, Thom’s a much better cook than me.
What abut you? What talent would you swap? And for what? I’d love to know in the comments below, or you can join in the discussion over at the Desperately Seeking Gina Facebook page.

Singing would also be my first choice, but what to trade? My husband only grills, so I better keep the cooking thing. Hmmm.

Keep the cooking-hahaha.
