Anyone else feel guilty about getting excited for Christmas before Thanksgiving? I do, and I try to not get too involved with Christmas at home until we’re done giving thanks. It’s difficult working in retail since we’re usually a season ahead-my decorating at work has been done since the beginning of the month.
I did wait to have Thom drag out my tubs until this morning. I figured since we have a late meal I might as well play with some holiday decorations while we waited for the rolls to proof.
Jingle On
I set set out these tiny vintage ornaments from my grandmother while I fluffed the tiny fake tree. I sewed the yellow felt star last year and it fits so perfectly on top.
I still need to make a place for it in the craft room so I’m guessing that’s why I didn’t get a picture of the decorated tree.
I also picked up a reindeer project I’ve had in the works going on a couple of years now. I will finish it this year for sure.
It’s finally time to get our jingle on.! What about you? Do you wait ’til after Thanksgiving?

Now that it’s the day after from hosting nineteen folks for Thanksgiving lunch and we’ve waved goodbye to our Atlanta brood, I’m ready to get my jingle on, too. We may even put up our big tree today. I usually have a tiny tree, too. As I looked at your vintage ornaments, I thought of repurposing some orphan earrings that I couldn’t bear to throw away after losing their mates. (Always makes me sad when that happens.) Thanks for the inspiration.

Oh! I love that idea. I too have a small collection of vintage mate-less earrings i have collected from my flea market travels. I might have to borrow that idea. Thank you!
