It’s no secret that when I find something I love I’m all-in and that definitely includes my new love for wood burning and succulents. What’s fun is when I can combine those two loves into a fun hobby. These wood burned terrarium tools are the most recent love child of said new hobbies.
Wood Burned Terrarium Tools
I picked up these adorable and useful terrarium tools when Thom and I visited The Good Earth Garden Center last week in Little Rock.
As I was removing them from the package I thought how cute they’d be personalized, and so, these wood burned terrarium tools were born.
Getting Started with Terrarium Tools
I had Thom write out COVE COTTAGE in pencil since his handwriting is so much better than mine.
Wood burning was super easy on the wooden handles. Wood burning on a curve is slightly tricky, however. This is the tool I use for wood burning.
The hearts were my idea; freehanded and a d o r a b l e, if I do say so myself! And, I do. I finished them off with two coats of protective finish. They took no time at all to dry; maybe two hours and they were ready to go.
These lovely wood burned terrarium tools have already put to good use over the last week. They’re perfect for filling in cacti soil around the haul of succulents I’ve brought home lately. I also made two terrariums for the craft room. Probably the most used is the brush.I can often be found sitting at the outdoor craft table brushing off the leaves of succulents after watering them. Thom thinks I’m obsessed. He’s probably right.
Now I just have to work on getting Thom to build a potting table for me. I loved this one at the garden center.
Later this week I have some fun succulent garden gift ideas using these fun personalized tools.
Don’t forget to pin this for later and share with friends!

So cute. I’d have to have my husband do the lettering if I were to make a set. His hand printing or writing is much neater than mine. That potting table looks pretty like an easy project to me. Hope you get it.

Thanks, Dorothy 🙂 I always have Thom do all my lettering-he’s much neater than I am. Thanks for stopping by!
