Rock Painting Gift Guide
Rock painting has taken over our little town this year and all across the country, really! Here are a few supplies for the beginner artist wishing to paint rocks and hide them to spread kindness and joy.

The Basics
These Apple Barrel Acrylic Paints are the most popular paints. They come in a variety of fun colors, can be easily cleaned up, and they store easily. These are what I use in my own craft room.
I love that this paint tray comes with a cover. I am always getting distracted and need to step away from painting and the cover will keep my paint fresh. Pro-tip: if you happen to leave your paint uncovered and it dries up; just peel off the paint and discard. Or, pop the tray into the freezer, let the paint harden and discard.
Acrylic Paint Brushes are not all created equal. Get a good set that will last a while. Pro-tip: remember to thoroughly was out brushes after each use!
Who would have thought that fingernail painting and rock painting would go hand-in-hand? See what I did there?
But really! These Nail Art Design Brushes are perfect for detailed rock painting, adding dots and fine lines, and I have a set that I love using.
To make stones stand out with an even coat of color, use Chalkboard Paint to give rocks a base on which to begin painting your designs. This is the brand I use and it just takes one coat and it’s done!
