…Weekend Recap
So, I mentioned in the last post that Thom and I were going to a tattoo convention in Little Rock. I was thinking that I’d feel a little out of place there. But….I actually liked it. We went on Friday just after they had opened the doors, so it wasn’t crowded and crazy. It was set up just like Bridal expo with booths and tattooists working away. Thom and I are considering getting tattoos and we thought we’d check out some local booths. I’ve been trying to decide what to get for awhile…and I think I came up with something. A cupcake. Really. A cute pink-frosting cupcake with a turquoise paper liner with sprinkles and a cherry on top. lol. Seriously. Crowbar even sketched it for me. Unfortunately, I didn’t see any artists I was crazy about to actually put ink to skin so I didn’t get a tattoo. This time 😉 Oh…and there was shopping! Bought these awesomely adorable pink shoes. Too bad they kill my feet 🙁
Saturday was a work day and Pad Thai for dinner {that’s for mom who says I should blog even if it’s just about what I had for dinner}.
Sunday found Thom and I driving around. We stopped at the Dam Site Marina and found these:
They were hanging around waiting to be fed. They’re Japanese Grass Carp…and they can get up to 70 pounds! One of these was at least 40 pounds.
Next, we checked out the Dam Site Campground…there were wildflowers growing…Thom picked a yellow one for me and then took this picture {the flower is actually behind my left ear..but you can’t even see it}.
Then, it was home, dinner {leftover Pad Thai….oh and I should also mention that we had roasted asparagus and veggie burgers for lunch–so good!}. We watched a pay-per-view movie…August Rush. I was excited to see it…and then sadly disappointed. The movie was all over the place. Crazy editing. So much potential {sigh}

1. Why can’t setting up technical “stuff” be easier. See the new section on the right? I’ve set up a Twitter account…but can’t figure out how to text from my phone 🙁
2. Where can I get a really good strawberry shake around here?
3. What kind of tattoo do I want? Thom and I are getting ready to go to Little Rock to walk around Arkansas Inkspolosion….a tattoo convention 🙂
4. Wondering if there will be enough time for shopping in Little Rock {I may have a shopping problem}

…Scrapbooking
Not much to blog about lately. Just working and napping. I haven’t been depressed..but thanks for asking 🙂 Just haven’t done anything blog worthy. Except for maybe some scrap booking. I’m working on an album for my little cousin Monie…and thought I’d share some pages. They’re going into a 6 X 6 chipboard album.
…Weekend Update
Unusual winter weather added another snow day to my week last Friday making it a three day weekend for me. It was a good opportunity for me to spend some quality time with Thom, since I had just returned from two weeks in Michigan and then went immediately back to work. But….I was called in on Saturday and I ended up working 6 hours and then spent an hour grocery shopping at the WalMart in Conway {it’s much bigger than the WM here in Heber}. Spent Saturday night snuggled in at home enjoying each other’s company 😉
Thom and I headed to Little Rock on Sunday to do some shopping. It was a gorgeous day….Sunny and temps in the 60s. My must-dos in Little Rock? SteinMart and TCBY, Barnes & Noble, and now the McCain Mall. Picked up a few goodies at each.
SteinMart:

TCBY:
At night, when normal girls are dreaming about bunnies, and true loves and such….I’m dreaming about TCBY Shivers. White Chocolate Mousse with peanut butter cups. MmmmMmm. I can thank Heather for getting me addicted to this little treat. I can’t believe I ate the whole thing. I was so full I could barely eat my panini …and that was two hours later.
McCain Mall:
With my recent facial problems {my brothers would probably argue that my face has been a problem my entire life-lol} I’ve been wanting to start using ProActive again…but I’m too lazy to order and wait for it to arrive. But…I don’t have to do that anymore…McCain Mall had a ProActive Kiosk…and I bought the whole set…No signing up…no automatic refills…just buy as you need. Pretty cool, eh?
Barnes & Noble:
{still feeding my Culinary Mystery addiction with the Hannah Swenson Mystery Series. This is the series that I didn’t like so much…but the books are getting better}
So….it was a retail therapy weekend. I SO wish retail therapy was covered under my medical insurance. Maybe I should make an appointment with Congress or submit a bill or something. Or maybe I’ll just do some more shopping instead.
