I’ve been working so much lately, I haven’t had any spare time to scrapbook. So, I worked it into a project for work. I found these library pockets at a teacher supply store in Conway, and for weeks I have been obsessing about how I could use them. I came up with an Advent Calendar of sorts. Each day I’ll add a Customer Service tip and will include chances to win prizes. Crafty and motivational 🙂 I raided my scrappin’ stash and hauled it all into work.

Not much else going on….Just working and sleeping. Hope y’all are havin’ a great week so far!

…Weekend Update

I enjoyed my three days away from the hustle & bustle of the store. I hung around the house on Friday and drove to Little Rock on Saturday for a movie and shopping.

I’ve been looking forward to seeing Twilight since the books were so good. Sadly, I was UBER disappointed with the movie. Save yourself the $7 or $8 and wait for the video. The acting was HORRIBLE. The make-up was HORRIBLE. The screenplay was HORRENDOUS. Auuughh. I can’t even put my distaste into words. The only good thing about the whole experience was being able to see the preview for the 6th Harry Potter movie.

I had a lovely time shopping. I walked around Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, and the Park Plaza Mall, where I got my hair cut.

I spent an inordinate amount of time in my newest fave store, The Container Store. This place is an organizer’s bestest dream ever. I could literally walk around there all day, touching each piece and imagining the cleanest, most organized home. {sigh}. Their Christmas gift wrapping section was lovely.

I checked out my scrapbook store and Fresh Market as well. That’s another place I could stay at all day long. Their produce is beautiful and fresh. And expensive 🙁
On Sunday, Thom and I had dinner in Searcy. Our new fave Mexican restaurant is Casa Brava. They have an awesome salsa. Then, we spent the rest of the evening at Hastings. I read some photography books while Thom looked through some consumer magazines {scoping out Christmas presents, perhaps?}.
So…that’s all, folks. I’ve been pretty boring lately. I actually took my camera out of it’s bag and took some pictures. I’ll share those later in the week. Hope y’all are having a good one so far :0

…I seem to have hit a wall

I have nothing to blog about….at least nothing exciting 🙂 I’ve been working quite a bit; leaving when it’s dark and cold outside, returning when it’s just getting dark and cold again. I’ve been trying to get outside at lunchtime to enjoy some sunshine. I’ve actually been enjoying my job again. Amazing, I know. And I’ve even come out of my little office and been working amongst the natives. Tomorrow marks my one year anniversary at this new store, and I’m just now starting to feel like I’m getting to know a lot of the people. I’ve tackled a couple projects including repapering the lounge walls and trying to create some interesting visuals to get the associates to look at policies and procedures. Exciting. We’re gearing up for Black Friday….and the start of the Holiday season as well.

In other news. Well. Not a lot happening. I haven’t baked or cooked at all. Not feeling a bit creative.

I’m looking forward to the coming weekend. I’ll enjoy 3 days off. Planning to see Twilight…and maybe a shopping trip to Little Rock.

and…since this is a family blog, Vanna, is there an N? Guess who had an opportunity to audition for “The Wheel” tomorrow but couldn’t get another manager or key carrier to trade shifts with her? Yep. M-E. I take back what I said about people in the South. They aren’t nicer 🙁 Anyone back home would’ve traded with me.

I know you must be feeling lonely, neglected, and about as empty as that blonde head of Paris Hilton’s. Please forgive my lack of attention as of late. I’ve been feeling uninspired. And, I’ve been working {gasp}. I know. Big girl hours make for a tired {gina}. Today, I am spending my lone day off cleaning up around here, making lunch/dinner and some good ole pumpkin pie. I will return soon full of adventurous stories of my life here in Ark. Please be well and let all my friends know that I appreciate them stopping by to check in on me.
