…Disturbed

Lately, I’ve been finding myself a lot more emotionally disturbed by crazy movies. Last night we watched The Mist and it creeped me out so much that I didn’t want to leave the house in case it might be foggy out. I couldn’t even bring myself to look outside to check. And spiders. Creepy little buggers. It doesn’t really help matters that the movie last night included giant, acidic-web shooting spiders.

I think I’ll stick to chick flicks and shows about cake decorating.

It’s a working weekend for me. I’m enjoying a couple of quiet hours this morning…finishing up some laundry and doing some daily blog reading. Hope y’all are well!

The basic recipe was good….but next time we’ll nix the parsley and add fresh cilantro and add in some Mexican seasonings. Otherwise….it’s so good.

…Who’s that masked Bear?

I have a routine at work. Every morning, I take a detour through our stockroom and on through the Homegoods section on the way to my office. About 100 feet from my office door, I veer to the left and stalk the stationary aisle to check out new goods. Then, it’s on to the kitchen gadget section to ogle garlic presses and cheese graters.

One morning, two months ago, I strolled into the stockroom to find a bunch of associates huddled around what sounded like a child laughing. This little guy was the center of their attention. I knew he had to be mine once he shook his little hips. Thom bought him for me and I’m sure he thinks it’s the best 10 bucks he’s ever spent on me when he hears my girly giggles.

…Way Back Wednesday

Now that it’s officially fall {Happy Fall, friends!} I feel like I can start posting Halloween “stuff.” I’ve been digging for pictures of costumes. This is my fave pic of the brothers and myself together. That’s Terry in the middle…and Scott is the superhero-identity-confused kid in my supergirl under-roos. But, isn’t that a Wonder Woman mask? That would be the identity confused part I was talking about. That’s my Mom’s wedding dress I’m sporting. I think we had to pitch the dress after this last outing. I can’t remember actually going out trick-or-treating in these getups. Mom? Did we?
