I received the B E S T E S T Christmas present E V E R! My lovely, wonderful, awesome Mom bought me a waffle iron-and not just any ole waffle iron-a Kenmore rotary waffle maker….like the one’s you’d see in hotels. I love it. Seriously.
We’ve been making the best waffles…malted {remember this post about my new fave waffle mix?} for Thom…and Cinnamon Nutmeg {recipe here}for me. Super delish.
Sadly, I was devastated a couple of days ago when, in the middle of cooking a batch of said delish waffles, I pushed in the “crisp” button a little too hard and the button stuck. Now none of the buttons will work and I must return the waffle maker to Sears. Hopefully I’ll be able to replace it, hassle free.
Until then, I’ll continue salivating over my waffle pictures. MmmmmMMMmm…
…Hello, Again
So, I’ve taken quite the blogging break. Thom’s super sad about his mom and I’ve been trying to stay close to offer any kind of comfort and support that I can provide. We’re slowly getting her affairs in order and cleaning out her home. It’s difficult to sort through a lifetime of possessions; to let go of the memories that she so closely held in each and every item that she so carefully kept.
Thank you all for your calls, emails, and kind words of encouragement and sympathy.

6. January being almost gone.
