Let’s make some noise…here’s how to make them:
Paper Plate Tambourines for Mardi Gras
Mardi Gras is all about the music, parades, beads, floats, and fun! And what better fun than making some noise?
Pick paper plates and ribbons that match the color scheme of your event.
Gather:
- Paper plate (s)
- Assorted skinny ribbon
- Small Jingle Bells
- Hole Punch
- Hot glue gun & glue
- Scissor
Fold paper plate in half and hot glue the halves together.
Hole punch along the outer edge leaving a half inch edge (I followed the lines on my plate).
Cut skinny ribbons into approximately 6-inch pieces.
Fold one ribbon in half and insert the looped end into the punch hole. Pull the tails through the loop.
Tie the tails into a loose knot.
Repeat with other ribbons. I chose three different colored ribbons and alternated holes.
Affix two jingle bells to one ribbon tail and knot to secure. Repeat for each punched hole
That’s it. SO simple. Now you can tap-tap-tap away to all your favorite tunes and make some noise.
