I know what you’re thinking; and, no, there is no actual “turkey” in this Thanksgiving Turkey Popcorn Mix. Perhaps a better title would have been Thanksgiving Popcorn Mix inspired by a turkey. Or, maybe not. Any way you word it-it’s a sweet & salty treat perfect for munching while you watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade or after your Thanksgiving meal while you haul out the Christmas decorations.

Don’t be limited by Thanksgiving to make this popcorn treat! It’s really good anytime. Here’s how to do it…
Thanksgiving Turkey Popcorn Mix
This fun and munch-y treat is so easy to pull together.
Gather:
- 1 bag of white popcorn (I am loving this brand)
- 1 bag of Reese’s Peanut Butter baking chips
- 1 cup of Reese’s Pieces candies
- 1/2 cup broken mini pretzel pieces
- Autumn sprinkles
- Edible googly eyes

- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Pop corn according to package directions, and dump onto to parchment lined cookie sheet.
- Place Reese’s peanut butter chips in a microwave safe bowl and melt in the microwave according to package directions. (DO NOT GET DISTRACTED BY THE CAT AND LET IT GO TOO LONG!!)
- Drizzle melted peanut butter chips over the popcorn. Work quickly, the peanut butter chips do not get as runny as chocolate chips or melting chocolates.
- Add in sprinkles, pretzels, edible googly eyes, and candies.
- Chill for 10 minutes. Not, you, the popcorn-put it in the ‘fridge for 10 minutes. You can chill once it’s in.
Back to that name: Thanksgiving Turkey Popcorn Mix…doesn’t it look like there’s a broken up little turkey in there? Ha!

After it and you are sufficiently chilled, break into pieces and serve. I like these, lined with parchment and filled with the Thanksgiving Turkey Popcorn Mix.

I think these are going to be a new favorite Thanksgiving tradition. What are your favorite traditions? Tell me in the comments below, or, join in the conversation over at the Desperately Seeking: Inspiration for Creative Living Facebook page.
