I call this a Kid Friendly Grazing Platter but it’s also “middle-aged lady friendly,” too. Do you love snack-y foods as much as I do? This cheese platter features simple, non-fussy foods that both kids and adults will love and it’s perfect for Easter brunch, or Monday midday snack, Tuesday lunch, Wednesday night dinner. You get my drift, right?

The star of this grazing platter is my hummus recipe served in a plastic Easter egg from the dollar store. How fun is that? Let’s make it!
Kid Friendly Grazing Platter
Kids like simple flavors and so do I, but maybe with a little more garlic. The great thing about making your own hummus is that you can control the flavor.
Buying store bought is fine, too. This is what I buy when I’m in a hurry or if I’m out and buying lunch from the grocery store (like, when I’m working out of town).
For this kid friendly grazing platter, I used all the snack-y foods I love; pretzels, carrots, celery, cheese and crackers, blueberries & apples, and walnuts. I also used my fave cheeses; colby-jack and Laughing Cow wedges. Choose which ever foods your family enjoys!
TIP: Make it extra fun by using a cookie cutter to cut cheeses into fun shapes. Here I used a bunny cutter I had on hand.
I found the adorable bunny plate at TJ Maxx. The label said “Frankie Grey” but I can’t find that online anywhere?
To put together an appealing platter, add items with different colors, textures, and heights. Place crackers on edges and lean them against other objects to stand them up.
Cut veggies into slim, manageable bites and provide a variety to choose from.
