How to Throw a Valentine’s Day Craft Party
When throwing a party think about these things:
- Age range of guests
- Age appropriate craft
- Supplies needed for the craft
- Party decorations and set-up
- Party food & drinks
- Party Favors
Age range & Age-Appropriate Craft
Determine one or two crafts to do together as a group. Have examples made so that the kids can see what their goal is. Someone can walk them through the steps. It’s helpful to have multiple people walking around helping those who need an extra hand. This is a perfect job for teenagers. Bribe them with free food (will work for pizza!) or give them a couple of bucks.
All kids love to make bugs so a Valentine Love Bug craft is perfect for girls and boys!
3D Hearts are fun and easy for kids.
Kids will love to make and play with Cupid’s Arrows.
These are easy and can be used as bookmarks!
Set up a Craft Supply Buffet:
- Foam Hearts
- Glitter
- Colored twine
- Felt Hearts
- Pom Poms
- Mod Podge
- Googly Eyes
- Valentine Buttons
- (And whatever else you want to craft with)
I picked up thise white plastic trays at Dollar Tree in the kitchen section. I thought they would make SUPER FUN craft trays! Have one for each guest. You could even add their names with stickers on the tray that will serve as a place setting, too!
Your guests will be able to “shop” from the buffet of craft supplies and load up their trays. Have a separate crafting table set up so that everyone has room to manuever.
Party Decorations
Cover your supply buffet with lace remnants or a lace table cloth. Gather cake stands and plates or buy pretty serving platters to set up your supplies.
Use party fans fans as a Valentine Back Drop for the buffet table. Or buy multiples and use as a party/photo backdrop.
Party Food
Make ahead some dough and let kids add their own toppings with these heart shaped pizzas.
Serve a fun & fruity punch.
Can’t have a Valentine’s Day party without some delicious and easy sweets!
Valentine’s Craft Party Favors
I found these adorable mini plastic jars at Dollar Tree! Fill them with crinkle paper and fill with Valentine themed goodies. I included Valentine temporary tattoos, lip balm, ring pops, and suckers. You can fill them with whatever you want!
Add sticker letters (or vinyl like my mom cut out for me).
I added a cute heart Love, tag and wrote in my name. Here’s a printable for you, too!
