I’m in love with pizza. There. I said it. Easy Heart Shaped Pizzas have stolen my own heart and this quick and easy pizza sauce adds an extra delicious layer to an unabashed love affair I’ve been willingly participating in for years. Do you wax poetic about your food like I do? We can still be friends, right?
Normally, I make my own dough from scratch but I thought I’d try something different for these pizzas. Let’s see what I did…
Easy Heart Shaped Pizzas
You know those tubes of already-prepared pizza dough from the refrigerator section at the grocery store? Yea, I used a tube of that for these easy heart shaped pizzas. It was SO QUICK to just pop it out of the tube and give it a quick roll out. Heart shaped pizzas in no time at all!
Here’s how to do it:
- Lightly flour your surface. Remove dough from tube.
- Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness.
- Use a sharp knife to cut out heart shapes. (I got about 4 (6-inch) hearts and a nice sized round pizza.) Do all hearts if you’re feeding a crowd, say a Valentine’s Day party.
- Spray a baking sheet with cooking oil/spray and transfer the dough hearts to the baking sheet.
- Top with quick & easy pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Bake according to the dough’s package directions.

Customize Easy Heart Shaped Pizzas
I’m a cheese lover so a plain cheese is great for me, especially with this tasty pizza sauce.
Thom likes veggies on his:
- green peppers
- roma tomatoes
- red onion
- mushrooms (fresh or canned)
Of course, you could add your favorite sliced meats: ham, pepperoni, sausage.
Add pineapple if you’re adventurous (and cool!).
You could also forgo the red pizza sauce and make my ALL-TIME favorite pizza: honey garlic pizza.
Valentine’s Day Party Idea: roll out dough, cut into hearts and set aside. Set a buffet of sauce and toppings and have guests customize their own mini heart pizzas.
Don’t forget about Valentine’s Day desserts! These yummies are delicious. Or, how about some cute monsters to go with your pizzas? Add a delicious punch to wash it all down!
