It’s stupid how happy these DIY Candy Corn Tassel Earrings have made me. I mean stupid in a good way. I’m not much of a jewelry wear-er in general, but these Halloween themed earrings have me all monster-eyed!
Tassel making is kind of addicting, let me just warn you from the start. You’ll make these Candy Corn Tassel Earrings and then wonder what else you can make; a tassel necklace, key chain, purse jewelry? No, really, you will.Â
Okay, now that I’ve warned you and you’re willing to surrender to tassel makingâ¦let’s make them!
DIY Candy Corn Tassel Earrings
One thing that I really love about this DIY is that there are very few supplies needed. I love simple crafts. You can make these in any color for ANY holiday or occassion. So simple.Â
Supplies you’ll need for these DIY Candy Corn Tassel Earrings
- 2 skeins each color embroidery thread: 2 yellow, 2 orange, 2 white
- 1 skein yellow embroidery thread for putting together the tassels
- 2 jump rings
- 2 earring hooks
- Fabric adhesive
- Jewelry pliers tool setÂ

- Step 1
Cut off 2 short lengths of embroidery thread, add jump ring to one of the threads, and set aside. Layout the embroidery thread and remove the paper tubes.
- Step 2
Tie and knot the reserved thread with jump ring around the middle of the embroidery thread. Â Fold over the embroidery thread.
- Step 3
Cut off the end loops so that the tassel is about 2 inches long. The jump ring should be on the top.
- Step 4
Take the 2nd reserved length of embroidery thread and tie around the top of the thread to create the tassel. Knot.Â
- Step 5
Wrap one end of the thread around the tassel and glue to secure. Allow the second string to lay with the rest of the tassel and cut to length.
- Step 6
Repeat steps 1-5 for each tassel: 2 yellow tassels with jump rings. 2 orange tassels without jump rings. 2 white tassels without jump rings.
When you have all six tassels made (3 per earring) connect them together by threading a coordinating piece of thread through all the tassels, starting with the white on the bottom, orange in the middle and yellow on top. Wrap the thread around the jump ring to finish and knot. Attach the earring fastener to each jump ring.
