Looking for ideas other than chocolate and flowers for Valentine’s Day? My Valentine’s Day Crafter Sampler would make a fun gift for your crafty Valentine.
Now, I’m not saying that chocolate and flowers aren’t a good idea.
I mean, chocolate is always a good idea in my opinion. But, something fun, something unexpected would be a heart shaped tin full of crafty goodness; enter the Valentine’s Day Crafter Sampler. It’s easy to put together.
And, guys? I know the thought of stepping foot in your crafty Valentine’s favorite craft or scrap booking store is a thought more dreadful than a trip to the dentist, but, I promise it’s as easy as picking up a few things from the Dollar Spot at Target and the crafty baubles can be found in Target’s fun craft aisle or even your local dollar store. My advice, though? Go to her favorite local craft or scrapbook store and pick out some things. I mean, you probably own stock there anyway, right? Hahahhaha. Ahem.
Anyway.
Valentine’s Day Crafter Sampler
Pick up these basics:
- a heart shaped tin with lid
- cupcake liners
- double sided tap
Open the tin and line it with cupcake liners, as many as you can fit in.
For added height, I took the little plastic dividers from the cupcake liner packaging and used double sided tape to attach it to the bottom of the paper liner.
For the craft supplies: (suggestions only, pick out small items that will fit in liners)
- felt hearts
- heart shaped buttons and/or beads
- colored twine rolled into balls
- confetti hearts
- bite sized chocolates (because, chocolate) or other candies, like traditional candy conversation hearts
Add the supplies to the cupcake liners inside the tin.
You can make a fun name tag with felt hearts-just glue them together and add a felt initial.
