Last weekend I jokingly posted on my Instgram that I would be eating carrots and lettuce all week long as a result of a cheesy loaded baked potato dinner on Sunday night. While that wasn’t completely true, I did try to tone down the calories during the week and include more veggies and lighter meals into our routine. A couple of nights we just snacked instead of having real meals.
Snacking doesn’t mean lacking in flavor or filler, though. In fact, Bush Beans has made our snacking pretty easy. Here’s how:
Thom and I decided to make a grown up version of Bumps on a Log with hummus and black olives. Did you ever have them as a kid? You know, celery stalks cut into little logs and filled with peanut butter and topped with raisins? Some families also called them Ants on a Log. Our version is super tasty.
Bush Brothers & Company has introduced THE easiest way to make hummus. Even those intimated by the thought won’t argue with how easy it is; three steps and done-dump, squeeze, blend. It’s quick, easy, and delicious. The Hummus Made Easy pouches contain all the ingredients (and ONLY the ingredients) like tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic to make a classic hummus recipe. No chemicals. No preservatives. No ingredients with names we can’t pronounce.
We snacked on the Classic #HummusMadeEasy all week long but there are two other varieties available-Southwest Black Bean and Roasted Red Pepper.
Our Grown Up Bumps on a Log were perfect for a snack-y dinner and I enjoyed them again for lunch the next day paired with some carrots and warm pita bread, too.
