April is #NationalCardandLetterWritingMonth and it just so happens that one my Springing Into a New Me mantras was letter writing and card making. Card making doesn’t have to be a major undertaking. With a few simple supplies I made these cards in less than fifteen minutes. Here’s how I did it…
Supplies:
- White Card Stock
- Washi tape
- Sentiment Stamps
- Ink Pad
- Scissor
- Paper Trimmer
Instructions:
- Trim card stock to 5 1/2 x 4 inches. Fold in half.
- Add washi tape in coordinating patterns/colors. Play with placement, go across the whole card, make partial lines, place diagonally.
- Trim ends flush with the card.
- Ink sentiments.
- Ink edges of card with the same ink as sentiment.
- Don’t forget to add some inked elements to the envelope for a fun sneak-peek of what’s to come!
In just half an hour I made enough of these simple but fun cards to celebrate National Card and Letter Writing Month with friends and family all month long. I’ll just add a quick note, some fun postage, and slip them into the mail every few days all month long. It’s making me smile just thinking about it.
Who will you be sending a card or letter to this month? Tell me about it in the comments below or join in the conversation over on Facebook.
Happy Making & Writing, friends!
