I love when I can find fun new toys to share with you. This is NOT a sponsored post-the hardworking tool guys and gals at Harbor Freight have no idea who the chick with washi tape in her hair was when she was wandering their aisles with a gleam in her eye.
As the craft room expands and bulges with new (and new-to-me) supplies, I am always looking for new ways to store them. This parts bin I found at Harbor Freight is perfect for all the little odds and ends I have collected lately. I thought I might have Thom spray paint it white for me because, well, I have him spray paint e v e r y t h i n g lately. The more I looked at it in the craft room, though, the more I liked the black finish in my white-walled, filled-to-the-brim-with-color room.
It did need a little sparkle so I added some gold heart washi around each revolving bin. This isn’t true washi tape; it’s a masking tape with the backing still on. It was a bit too clear and the black finish showed through too much so I left the it on and simply used double sided tape to attach the heart tape around the bins.
Now I have all my favorite crafting goodies right at my fingertips. And, if I ever get tired of the cute gold heart (non) washi tape {like that will ever happen} I can just switch it out with some equally adorable washi. Or, if I happen upon a newer, greater way to store my fun stuff, I can always pass off the revolving storage bin to Thom for use in his utility/tool room. Win win, right?
