As I have declared on my personal FB page, it’s officially the season of snuggling in. It has finally turned cold here in the South (sad frowny face) and with darkness descending earlier there isn’t much motivation to do anything but drink warm beverages, cover up with multiple blankets, and read or watch movies.
It’s Thanksgiving in just two days. Or, as I’ve been thinking about it: two days before it’s socially acceptable to be all Christmas gung-ho. Working in retail is always weird at this time of year (okay, at every moment of the year, really) because we’re always thinking and prepping for the holidays a month or two before everyone else and by the time the season rolls around I am usually over it and moving on to the next big thing.
Confession #1: my Christmas decorations are in the living room.
Confession #2: they’ve been in the living room since last Christmas. I never got around to moving the bins to the garage. Shrug.
I’m thinking Thanksgiving Day is the perfect time to open those bins and start jolly-ing up this old place. After Tofurkey and the Macy’s parade, of course.

I never thought how a retail person might be done with a season before it starts. Hope you had a good Thanksgiving!
