Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be a pumpkin farmer. I imagine it would be a lot like being a mother.
You grow this tiny little seedling into a cute, round, lumpy being with a personality all it’s own, you cut them off the vine, and then you send them off into the world when they’re mature enough. It would be a lot of work but would also bring a lot of joy.
I mean, who looks at a pumpkin and doesn’t smile?
Alas, I’ll put the pumpkin farming thing on the bucket list and do the next best thing: make my own versions out of yarn. That way, I can keep them around as long as I want and when I tire of them I can find new homes for ’em (I imagine that’s way harder for a mom to do).
Pumpkin Pom Pom how to:
Use any method to make an orange yarn pom pom.
Hot glue half a cinnamon stick to the top of the pom pom.
Wrap cinnamon stick with a cute, fallish ribbon.
Enjoy your pumpkin all season long! (and it smells good, too!)
