I’m back from Michigan and feeling refreshed and invigorated. The stress of everyday life, work, and money worries, along with the dreariness of winter faded away the closer I got to Lake Michigan.
Michigan in the summertime is…magical. It’s not a feeling I experienced while I was living there but I suppose that’s how life works; we get complacent with our surroundings bored with the wonders that surround us, too wrapped up in the drama of the day-to-day. Vacation mode does wonders for the senses. Revisiting home refreshes the mind, body, spirit.
Now that I’m home I am desperately clinging to that feeling. Desperately wanting this lightness, clear-headedness (is that a word?) to stick around. I feel like I am loving more, living more, allowing joy to fill me up.
Doesn’t the magic of Michigan sound a-mazing?!?
