I’m loving these cold, dreary days of winter. No, really-they’re excellent excuses to stay holed-up in my new, bright craft room. I have multiple projects on the craft table; all in stages of just started to near completion. I like working on more than one project at a time. I get bored easily and having more than one thing going helps me stay focused on crafting. Does that even make sense? For me, it does.
I had hoped to have a completed Pinterest project to share to kick off a new season of Pin it & Spin it, but alas-I don’t. I’m not even going to apologize.
Here’s a little sneak peek of something I’m currently working on. I’m in love with mustard colored everything right now. I picked up this vintage suitcase a couple of weeks ago and spent all of Christmas day ripping out the smelly, previously cute yellow lining. Luckily, the hard inner case didn’t have a lingering odor so a good washing with soap and water cleaned the inside adequately.
I’ve started the process of gluing down a map to the inside. It seems like it would be easy…but I have to admit I’m not the most patient of crafters. The curves are annoying me.
This is definitely a project I’ll work on here and there and come back to when I like.
The finished product will store fabric. Or, glitter. And, I have a little project in the works for April that this will come in handy. I’ll share more as that approaches.
Have you been pinning lately? Have you been putting those pins to use? Join me here on Mondays to share your projects-the completed ones and those in progress-I’d love to see them all. Happy pinning, friends!

I have done zero crafting in the new year, but I have been focusing on my writing so that's a good thing. I do have a craft in my head though involving all the Christmas cards I saved. Maybe next week! And btw, I keep my scrapbook paper and other crafty things in an old suitcase. I know what you mean about those corners.
