On a whim I decided to paint the craft room. It’s paneled in there; that dark, black lined, fake wood paneling that only looks good in a poor man’s den or deer camp cabin. I started moving my craft stuff to the living room about a month ago and finally got around to purchasing primer and paint two weeks ago. Have I mentioned I’m a procrastinator (also, poor, so I’m workin’ at a snail’s pace).
Painting prep is hard, y’all. There’s so much washing down, sweeping up, sanding, taping, priming. Painting took about a minute. I am not a patient person, you guys. The minute I decide I want something done, I want it done just then. I am kind of enjoying this process, though and it’s lovely to see my space being transformed-feeling so motivated to get in and create.
So it will probably be a while for any sort of big “reveal” I’ll share our progress along the way. All the major components are completed except for painting a shelf and I’m moving on to the fun stuff: making curtains and a cute ruffled stool skirt. I need new drawer knobs and a few other miscellaneous decorations. Eek. I’m so excited to have a little bright, light room of my own. Can you imagine how great this room will be during the winter when it’s dark at five o’clock? Eeeekkk. I’m so excited!
