**disclosure**
HimalaSalt has provided me with an array of products for the purposes of review. I have not been compensated otherwise and all opinions are my own.
I’m a chronic under season-er. It’s true. Thom, however, is a master. He can taste test and know immediately what a dish needs to bring out it’s fullest flavor. It’s because of him that the cupboard boasts table salt, kosher salt, and a multitude of sea salts. What was missing, though, was nice, pink, Himalayan sea salt.
Fortunately for us, the lovely people over at HimalaSalt took care of that for us. They sent quite an array of products for us to test and I have to say, we were impressed. The salt was so fresh and pure and to be honest, I think Thom enjoyed the easy & convenient refillable grinders most of all.
Even more impressive than the depth of flavor the pink sea salt added to our dishes were the Organic Black Peppercorns. I may not know salt but I do know pepper. And, I love this stuff. It was fresh, pungent and so pepperly (yes, I made that up) flavorful.
Now, there are some serious foodies who debate whether or not Himalayan pink sea salt actually tastes any different than your average run-of-the-mill coarse salts. They also point out that the pinkness lends itself more as a “finishing” salt to add visual appeal to foods, especially with desserts like caramels or truffles.
I say let your taste buds decide. Mine tell me that HimalaSalt seasons and flavors dishes perfectly. Find out more about this certified Green-e renewable energy company at the following:

This may sound weird – this post has appealed to the rock hound in me. I'm not a fancy salt girl but now I'm intrigued and want to give this pink stuff a grind and a shake. BTW – those potatoes look divine. Thanks for sharing!
