To make up for the long hours I worked in the beginning of the week the weekend was comprised of two short work days: Friday {does anyone else consider Friday to be part of the weekend? I do.} til noon and Saturday til 10:45am. It was lovely and it gave me some extra time to thrift.
There wasn’t any significance to our weekend here at Cove Cottage other than the fact that it was a comfortable 82 degrees with a lovely breeze. We’re fairly laid back and easy going and most of our weekends go the same:
For me-a locally brewed {Little Rock} adult beverage {thirst-quenching on a 95+ degree evening}.
Season Five of Breaking Bad. We’re watching on Netflix…so don’t spill what happens! I’m getting a little weary of Walt’s attitude. I SO want him to do the right thing but I think his ego is going to get in the way.
There was the making of a fave summer-time recipe: hummus {along with a Pin it & Spin it recipe for tomorrow}.
Thom and I hand washed the car since it was nice out. The washing mitt had me looking forward to my trip home to {Michigan}.
The sun has set {not long ago-name that book!} and the windows are open. A lovely breeze is cooling us off. I didn’t hear the owls out in the cove but I’m sure they’re there. It’s quiet here in the house and we’re winding down another Sunday evening. I think it’s my most favorite part of the week: the quietness of late Sunday evening before the storm of a busy work week.
How was your weekend, friends?
