I feel as if I’ve been away from blogging for ages and have forgotten how to do it.
My days have been filled with antiseptic, gauze, and paper tape. And, also, dinner, laundry, working {limited schedule}, doctor’s appointments, driving, and more antiseptic, more gauze, and yards of paper tape. We had a set back with Thom’s recovery that required a second surgery on Friday and I spent the day in a waiting room filled with old people who were quite entertaining.
I spent today chopping vegetables for soup and rolling dough for breadsticks in between trips to the laundry room and general housecleaning. I was excited to unearth a box of vintage, patina’d {I’m aware that’s not really a word} bottles that will be perfect wedding decor. Perhaps there are other boxes of already-owned vintage goodies that will be put to good use after all.
I truly am enjoying the process of flea-ing in search of wedding props. Most times I leave empty handed but when I find something I love, I leave feeling exhilarated with my purchase. My appreciation for old things has grown tenfold.
