It’s been ages {literally years?} since I’ve done a Friday Five. I’d love for you to join in…leave a comment if you’re so inclined. And, Happy Friday….the weekend is here, the weekend is here!
Five holiday traditions I’ve never participated in but would love to:
1. Cookie exchange. For a girl who loves a cookie {or two, okay-four} isn’t it ridiculous that I’ve never been invited to a cookie exchange party?
2. Elf on the Shelf. Obviously having kids is so much more fun at the holiday times. I’m thinking about doing a retail version of Elf on the Shelf just so I can do this. Or, I could have kids. I think I’ll stick with the kids at work for now!
3. Cut your own Christmas tree. Again, something I don’t remember having done in my childhood. I envision winter hats and mittens, warm cups of hot cocoa, mini marshmallows, pretty twinkly lights, and vintage ornaments.
4. New pajamas for Christmas Eve. Maybe I could talk Thom into wearing matching jammies?
5. Fancy-Schmancy Holiday Party. I would love to buy a pretty party dress, get my hair and nails done, and rock around the Christmas tree at a Christmas party hop {I sang that last part!}.

I'm kinda glad I missed the whole elf on a shelf thing…
