I love fall mums and I have a fun time picking out my yearly plant in late September or early October. Pulling into the driveway on a cool Fall day is always so pleasant when you’re greeted with the bright colors of these huge, hardy mums that decorate our multi-level deck.
With a few props pulled from our stored Halloween decorations and some from craft room supplies I can usually put together a cute Autumnal vignette somewhere in the yard {the yard being the two-foot section down at the gate where I’ll actually step foot. Long story, for another time ;)}.
This year’s beauty is smaller than the previous years but the golden yellow adds a bit of sunshine like color to even the dreariest of days. I. Love. It. It’s a tradition that will continue year after year.
This week I’m linking up to BLOGtober Fest over at Arkansas Women Bloggers. Head on over for some fun Autumn/Halloween posts by some of my favorite bloggers from my adopted state. Be sure to comment and let ’em know I sent you over.
I want to know how you got your pictures that way! How cute is that:) Your mums are gorgeous..I only have yellow. Mums always remind me of Homecoming:) Happy memories:)
Talya-Grace Grits and Gardening put me onto this. I love her blogs and I can see I will enjoy yours also.
Precious. My yard is full of purple lights, glowing bodies, and dead mums from last year. As much as I love pretty setups like yours, the crazy yard seems to impress the neighbors.
It's just not fall without a few pots full of mums.
My dad bought me mums this year for fall "decor" outside. You're right – they are so very cheerful and pretty!
Love the mums!
Love the purple one, and as always, your photos are fab.
Hope all is well there. How is wedding planning going?
Love,
Amanda
Great pics!
Thank you for stopping by Colene!
Thanks, Shannon
I use digital frames that I purchase from a digital scrapbooking company.
If I had kids I would probably go all out too. That, and if I had a yard that I would actually walk in. Snakes, ticks, and chiggers keep me out of the yard. I'm a baby!
I need to buy more
Thank you, ma'am
Thanks, Ms. Amanda! Planning = slow…there's so much to think about-Im becoming overwhelmed :/
