But, what does one do with a ceramic egg crate? Other than the the initial egg photo shoot?

Yea, that’s what I came up with, too.
Until I thought of this: recipe card holder. It looks pretty on the kitchen counter and is functional, too.
Materials:
Wooden craft eggs
Hacksaw or little saw tool {my words, not Thom’s}
Sand paper, fine grit, optional
That’s it! Just use the hacksaw blade to saw a slit into the top of the egg. Sand if needed {I didn’t bother, ours looked fine}.
I used a bit of double sided tape to secure the wooden egg to the ceramic so the egg wouldn’t bobble when I placed the recipe card in it.
