I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the Awesome Ladies of Arkansas Women Bloggers {or as I now lovingly refer to them as: AL of AWB} before letting the AWBU conference float away into memory.
These ladies worked tirelessly on putting together a fabulous conference full of really good information, knowledgeable speakers, and excellent sponsors who provided a fun assortment of SWAG {stuff we all get} goodies. Not to mention the little touches like color coordinated name badges, napkins, and our very own mason jars for partaking of the mobile bar {thanks, Beth!}.
The Park Wife– I have to admit the very first time I met Stephanie in 2010 I was a bit overwhelmed and intimidated-although sweet and sincere, she was an experienced blogger who know the Pioneer Woman! Probably a lot of my nervousness had to do with attending a blogger meet-up and not Stephanie 😉 But, at the second meet-up? She hugged me so sincerely, I had no choice but to feel like part of the group. I found her to be encouraging and engaging, and a whole lot of fun. She was Thom’s main accomplice in the proposal and her excitement was so catching {after the fact, of course!}.
Beth of The Little Magpie– Could there be a sweeter, kinder blogger? I don’t think so. Any questions or concerns I had during and after the conference were taken care of by Beth {I joked with her that she will be my PR person when I’m famous-she’s seriously talented at handling unpleasantries}.
Julie of Eggs & Herbs– Again, there couldn’t be a nicer blogger {so I guess that makes it a three-way tie for nicest blogger since I’ve said the same thing for the last two gals} or a more supportive blogger. Whenever I’m writing to submit to the AWB, Julie always has nice words to say or gives constructive criticism so that I’m putting my best writing out there. She’s also super hard working for the group-wrangling new material for posts and running the show behind the scenes. Also…she’s most likely the person I’d hang out with in real life {must do-soon!}.
I’d love for you to stop by there internet homes and say hello…tell them I sent you!
And now…I’d love to share some of the SWAG love. I came home with multiple bags full of cool sponsor gifts and I’m sharing with one of you.
I’m giving away one paperback copy of our keynote speaker Lela Davidson’s book Blacklisted from the PTA. I downloaded the e-book a couple of months ago and enjoyed it- definitely full of laugh-out-loud satire.
