The last few days have been a whirlwind of congratulatory emails, messages, and phone calls. I got to make the engagement announcement at a meeting at work and another round of hugs and congrats filled up Monday and Tuesday.
It’s so hard to wrap my head around all the information about blogging I came home with when all I really want to be doing is looking at wedding inspiration on Pinterest. Heheheheh.
But, I will try because it was an awesome weekend on so many other levels. First up: Foodie Friday.
The conference began with a Foodie Friday event hosted by the lovely Lyndi of NWAFoodie. And, when I say lovely I mean sweet, and kind, smart, and adorable, too. The sessions she prepared were both informational {food photography & a food styling challenge} and so. much. fun.
Next up was a little herbal lesson from the ENERGETIC Tina Marie Wilcox, the Ozark Folk Center expert herbologist. I have to tell you that her way of teaching really drew me in and held my attention. I was actually very sad that her session wasn’t longer. You can find her online at Yarb Tales.
The Foodie Friday Iron Chef Challenge was ingenious. We were divided into teams and given a secret ingredient {ours was both sweet & savory Thyme}. Not being a true foodie {I need to follow a recipe and my most fave part is eating the food} I stuck to slicing and toasting bread-hahaha.
My favorite session: Blogging with your senses with Julie & Lyndi.
