Another quiet week around here as summer blows in hot & dry. I’ve been slowly working on a few projects-crafty things like birthday banners {there’s a summer boy in the house} and experimenting with paints. I’ve also been reflecting on my lack of ambition and figuring out what, exactly, I want to do with this life; more on that in the coming weeks.
There have been unexplained sleepless nights, afternoon naps, and grouchiness. Vampires have made an appearance or two. Of course, there’s always work.
I spent an entire afternoon trying to think of something to say about myself. One would think it should be easy, that I should be an expert in the subject, and that stringing together a few sentences to sum up my existence wouldn’t be so difficult. After six hours of staring at a monitor and blemish-fixing this is what I came up with.
Happy mid-week, friends.
ps.
As I shared in my Twitter feed, I’m saddened by the death of Nora Ephron and this was touching especially the last remembrance {from her book I Remember Nothing} On her list of things she will miss, the expected-“my kids,” and “Nick.” And, it ends, so eloquently, with:
“Taking a bath
Coming over the bridge to Manhattan
Pie.”
