Day two of this daily blog challenge and I’ve already hit a wall….so today’s post is pure randomness with short bursts of thoughts. The important thing is to just get it down and out there, right?
- Sometimes I forget that New York is more than New York City and Manhattan. I’m not sure I can even name any other towns or cities there. How sad is that? {same goes for other popular states like California!}
- It’s getting dark before 7:00. This makes me sad. And don’t forget to Fall Back and set your clocks back an hour on the 6th. The sun hides behind the huge hill {I guess some down here would call it a mountain} starting around 1:30 in the afternoon now. Our house is so dark inside. It’s a bit depressing.
- And finally, {super short, eh?} Today I’m grateful for a steady job of almost 15 years where I like to think that I am needed and appreciated. I was going to say that I was grateful for days off….but for many people out there, there are way too many “days off” and I am lucky to be able to work {not that I don’t work hard to keep it that way!}.

as a new yorker, i have to admit that most of the people i know around here usually only count long islanders (such as myself) and people that live in the city or one of the burroughs as "new yorkers"…everyone else just lives upstate. haha, it's obnoxious, i know
