My favorite memory was being with my family , we didnt have much but mom and dad would do there very best to make sure we had something under the tree, and then there was our visits to Grandmas house as she always made our gifts such as pajammas, shirts, nightshirts, the girls always got a dress, and we played with all my cousins while the adults did their things which we kids were sent into the other room while they prepare dinner, these are some of my memories , but I miss my brother and sisters at Christmas time.

My favorite memory of my Christmas is when we were all little kids living on Glade street. We had a real tree and let me tell you we had some ugly trees but this one was pretty. All of us kids did a good job decorating it "maybe a little too much" the darn thing kept tipping over. So after about the third time of breaking the bulbs my mad dad got really upset and fixed it. We had the tree sitting in a corner, my dad the fixer up guy took two eye hooks and screwed them into each wall then took string and tied them to the tree. After that the tree never fell over again.

hello! One of my favorite Christmas memories was when I was living in Rhode Island and had fractured my arm, was unable to work and had nothing for Christmas for my family. I couldn't even cook because of my cast (and surgery) and I was amazed at the wonderful friends, neighbors and relatives who pitched in and brought food, gifts and spent time with us when I least expected it!
I love that skillet set, the color is so cool!

The only Christmas we ever spent on Bois Blanc is my favorite. When I was little, we always came to Ravenna to spend the holidays with Grandpa George and Grandma Grace. When I was 7, I begged my parents to let us stay home for Christmas. We actually even put up our own tree!! I was afraid that maybe Santa wouldn't be able to find us, since we were never there—plus I was worried about him crossing the ice with the Reindeer. What if he got lost in the Straights of Mackinac?
I had nothing to fear, though. He found his way. I got a babydoll whose eyes closed when she laid down. After the holidays died down, and we were taking down our tree, I found a special present tucked into it, from Kevin Gibbons. It was a carved bird ornament that I still have on my tree every year.
Our fire was that March, so we never spent another holiday season on Bois Blanc. It was like fate wanted us to have our island holiday. Snowy, quiet and beautifuly peaceful. =)
Now fate wants me to have the green lasagna pan. Yum-O!!!!!

My favorite Christmas memory is making gingerbread houses with my mother. We used to make 4 or 5 of them every year and I'd give them as gifts to my favorite teacher and friends. I still make the houses today and love the looks on my friends' faces when I give them one! Thanks for the awesome contest!

No fair Mel with the island holiday. Geesh. My favorite christmas memories are right now being a mom, and watching Nina get excited over everything. She is a little hoarder (and comes by it quite naturally). She has been making her dad and I special presents (basically everything she can shove in two seperate gift bags-newspapers her books, old toy jewelry). She is sure in the mood!!
