I should have known that bragging about our lovely fall weather would end up coming back to bite me in the bum. It rained all day Sunday, and didn’t even make it higher than 54 degrees. It’s all good though….it’s a good reason to stay indoors, bake up a storm, make bread, dinner, and dessert-all from scratch. That’s how Thom and I spent Saturday night. Thom made his penne and homemade sauce. I made the first of two batches of Chuck Muer’s house bread, and we finished off some homemade ice cream topped with a quick, easy toffee sauce.
Sunday, I kicked off the pumpkin baking season with my fave muffin recipe. {and later, another batch of house bread}
