I continue to find new and interesting bugs around the house {mostly outside!}. I named this guy Simon and he was quite amicable in my need to relocate him to a more picture-friendly atmosphere. His new home, until he decides to skidaddle, is the corn plant on the covered deck. He didn’t even try to use his tiny little tail pincher as Thom moved him from one place to another. I’ve never seen a stick bug before and they’re all over this place. This one may be a juvenile….all the others I’ve seen have been more brownish and stickish colored 🙂
Anyway…that’s all I’ve been doing. I enjoyed a 4 day weekend. I had a lot of things to do around the house, including mopping floors and helping Thom hang a new shower curtain rod. I also opened a ton of Halloween storage containers and looked lovingly through all my decorations tryting to decide if the 2nd week of September is too early to start decorating. I decided to just put out the yard sale pumpkin…it’s residing on the deck. I also obsessed about taking photos off some of the stuff I love so much so that I can share it here on the blog in October.
I’m off to do some laundry and watch TV. Hope y’all are well and feelin’ fine!!

I want you to know that Gina is really getting to like all the creatures around here…(I wanted to say love but that's a long way off). Btw..she even thinks the lill baby toads that have cropped up around the house are cute.
Personally…I can't wait till around October 5th here..that's when the Tarantula's come out. For what..I do not know..but I know they do because I catch and play with them every year. These are the same 4 to 5 inch big hairy Tarantula's that you buy at the pet stores and they are just awesome. I usually keep one for a few months in a plastic insect cage. I love to watch them eat..they are SO very aggressive and I am just SURE that Gina will love them as well. 🙂
Take care,
Thom
