It’s no secret that I love to read; so much so that it’s probably what I love to do above all other extracurricular activities. I remember accumulating a gi-normous stack of books to read over summer vacation and sitting in the camper devouring them and revisting my old friends who lived amongst those pages all summer long while my mom, dad, and brothers enjoyed the great outdoors at Rose Lake. Book titles always topped my birthday/special occasion wish lists and I used quite a bit of babysitting money to purchase my much-loved paperbacks.
These days it’s more difficult to find as much time as I’d like to opening a good book. I must fit in a chapter here or there. Not to mention feeling guilty about spending money out of my already stretched-too-thin wallet. I’ve found an economically friendly alternative, I think: Paperback Swap.
Swap your already-read, good condition paperbacks for other books. You pay a small postage fee and earn credits toward books on your wishlist. Awesome! I’ve just listed 10 books, earned two credits, have 2 books to send out already and 1 book on it’s way to me….so once they’re received, I’ll earn more credits. Sounds like just the thing to get me back into my fave activity.
