and…since this is a family blog, Vanna, is there an N? Guess who had an opportunity to audition for “The Wheel” tomorrow but couldn’t get another manager or key carrier to trade shifts with her? Yep. M-E. I take back what I said about people in the South. They aren’t nicer 🙁 Anyone back home would’ve traded with me.

Don’t take it personally. It’s because you are a “northerner”, a “foreigner”, an outsider. The Arkansas credo is: if they didn’t grow up with your Granddad, you will never be a true insider. You will always just “stay” here, not “live” here. And it’s not that way all over the South. Georgia is completely different, welcoming and embracing new residents.
Maybe you could call in sick 😉 I hope you get to go.

Gina – I hope you find a way to go and I hope you win the grand prize! And don’t even THINK about sharing with those people who wouldn’t trade shifts with you!
