When I moved to the bustling metropolis of Muskegon {lol} I said I wouldn’t ever live in the country again. And I probably wouldn’t have before the move to Ark. But…on my hour long drive to work every morning, I surprise myself by actually enjoying the rolling green hills and the outline of mountains against the morning sky. I drive by this beautiful field every morning, and as these trees come into view as I turn the corner, I can’t help but smile.
Just to the right of those funny shaped trees is a pretty pond. And sometimes there are cattle grazing in the field. One day last week, the farmer, with his straw hat and overalls was casually striding through his field. He looked so tranquil. I almost stopped and asked to take his picture. And this being Arkansas, land of the laid-back people, he probably would have humored me.

Gina – you do live in the Natural State now! I’m still getting used to all of the wildlife that “invades” my space – I’ve had my fair share of mice in my pantry/kitchen/garage. I’ve had an opposum in the garage and just this past week a rather large snake was hiding under my car in the garage and decided to surprise me just as I was stepping to get in the car. I nearly wet myself! I’m sure the neighbors heard me scream bloody murder! Enjoy the view of that field – this is one of the few places where scenery like that doesn’t follow the song lyrics of “They paved paradise and put up a parking lot”

Alison! I’m actually terrified that the “wildlife” is going to start invading my space too. I’m terrified of snakes. I hope to not meet one for a very long time. I cringe everytime I have to walk thru grass 🙁
