After the “weight management” class on Friday I caught a movie at the Cinema Carousal. Saw the Nanny Diaries. I must have been on a New York Socialite kick last week, as this was one of the themes of the movie: Socialite moms who depend on the nanny to raise the children. It was kind of boring…and kind of a waste of $6. Poorly written screenplay…bad acting (Scarlett Johanson), and a really cheesy red umbrella analogy. Could have been a decent story though…so I’ll pick up the book from the library sometime. Near the end of the movie, the older gentleman sitting 6 seats down from me had an “accident.” Yeppers….he wet himself…and then sat through the rest of the movie!! Now…I’ve been witness to some pretty funny “accidents” at the movies, particularly one of my friends barfing before the start of the movie {and she shall remain nameless, unless she choose to reveal herself–lol} but I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone wet themselves. Felt bad for the old guy 🙁
I love getting to the movies early enough for the previews. Looking forward to a couple of movies…John Cusack in Martian Child, and Nic Cage in National Treasure: Book of Secrets…totoally loved the first movie and this one looks just as good.
Not much else going on, unfortunately. Worked both Saturday and Sunday mornings….did some work on the blog {added pictures over in the sidebar..speaking of which…is my list of stuff appearing on the side…or down at the bottom on your screen?}

Hey there wanted to know what the nutritionist thought about fish oil? I have a friend on it and she says it makes her feel better (good for your joints??) I didn’t keep very good track of food this weekend. I was bad Sunday just not eating anything until 2 o clock (very weird for me) and then having bratts, ice cream, funyuns (yummy). Have been trying to eat tons of apples though they are very satisfying and I read that if you put lemon juice on them it helps them to not get as brown. Also loving Sugar Free wintogreens (just read today that eating too many may cause a laxative effect so watch out) I am enjoying working out Tuesdays and Thursdays before work, but it is also like my only me time that is a for sure. I like the accountability of reading what we eat too. I’ll try harder to keep track this next weekend! (unless we get holiday weekends off (sounds like a good plan!!))

What is breakfast rice? Also forgot to comment on Scarlett J. (totally jealous of her for having been with Josh Hartnett!!!!!), but have really never seen her in any movie that was very good!(in my personal opinion) Totally want to see SUPERBAD-superbad! Will probably see Hairspray next.

🙂 Holiday weekends off? Is that in the rules? lol…Thom was laughing at me today when I said this wasn’t a diet…it was a lifestyle! Maybe I’ll have to change that if holiday weekends don’t count.
Breakfast rice is white rice, a little bit of butter and about a tbsp of sugar served with warm milk. Yummy “treat” breakfast.

by the way…i’ve been taking the fish oil…but I’m backing off to 3 days a week…cuz I was reading that taking too much can be an overdose…and that you could start smelling like fish YUCK. anyway…I have been feeling a lot better lately…Not as tired…little more energy. But I’ve also been taking my multi-vitamin and B-12 a lot more regularly. And…I’ve been drinking tons of H20 too….keeping me super hydrated and I think that has a lot to do with how good I’ve been feeling.
I’m also noticing differences in my hair and nails…wondering if that has anything to do with the fish oil? I have more reading up to do on it.

Breakfast rice sounds good I think I would have to add cinammon and sugar though (and brown rice is better for WW) Have you tried brown minute rice not too bad. Always trying for the highest fiber of food is a good bet! I just read something about fish oil being excellent for your heart (never heard about the smelly part that is kind of freaky!! Isn’t it Friday yet? We probably should keep track on holidays too because it is a lifestyle thing (maybe just get our birthdays and xmas off??)

On a better note I was at the gym this morning and did 20 minutes on the elliptical machine and various other exercises so I must have burned some of that off!!!
