hello, friends! Long time, no blog. I’ve been keeping busy “entertaining” Thom, working a lot of nights and squeezing in some shopping, movie-going, and reading. Summer is flying by…it’s almost the end of July *sigh*.
Thom and I drove a lot over the weekend *correction* Thom drove a lot over the weekend…I lounged in the passenger seat, enjoyed the “moon” roof in Thom’s new car, and even got some color on my cheeks because we were in the car so much.
On Saturday, we headed to Grand Rapids for Thai food and dress shopping. I’d never had Thai, and Thom was so excited to introduce me something new. *the Pad Thai was really good, however, I would not recommend the Gang Gai* Thom was disappointed with the quality of the food….wanted it to be so much better for my first taste. The dress shopping was a disaster…as it always is. Why do clothing designers assume that all *plus* size girls want to wear ugly, flowered, polyester granny-like dresses????
On Sunday we drove across the state to an outlet mall *not Birch Run* still on the dress-hunt. Another No-Go *sigh* I think Thom’s a little upset with me. And I think he might think I’m a tad bit picky. *hrrrmmmppphhhh*
So…it’s close to wedding time, and I still don’t have a dress. Or a gift. Or a camera. Mine is still broken.
In other news…Melly and I went to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix…another good HP movie…although there was *so much* cut from the book to make it into the movie….I was a little disappointed with that. The 7th and final book comes out on Saturday. I’ll be in Wisconsin…but I’m SO going to find somewhere to purchase the book 🙂 Do you think it would be rude to read through Luke’s & Kimmie’s wedding? lol. no, really, would it be?
So, that’s it. Working a lot, still. And miserable doing it. I never imagined it would be so hard when there’s someone at home waiting for me….someone who is making dinner and fixing up things around the apartment, someone who likes to shop for little gifts to surprise me with. I have a lot more to share…I hope to do so soon. Includes a cute little bow, a ring, and some sparkle.
