It was the coldest Easter I can ever remember. But then again…my memory is so bad that I can’t even remember last Easter. I love all the bright, cheery colors that surrounded us on this day.
Dinner was interesting, as usual. We’re not a very religious family, so this day is more of a celebration of Spring rather than the Resurrection of Christ. I asked Tyler what h thought Easter Day was all about and his answer was “The Easter Bunny and Candy and stuff.” Scary what he’s not being taught. I don’t even know how to begin to start to teach or guide him in religious matters since my own faith is questionable. But at least I learned enough growing up to make my own decisions…which is what I think every child should be able to do. Anyway…I keep reminding myself that he’s not my child and that all these heavy issues don’t or shouldn’t rest solely on me…but I do feel some sense of responsibiltiy in guiding him to make his own decisions. I guess the best thing is do just be a good role model and be available to answer any questions he’ll have in the future.
Received loads of candy from Mom…Thanks Mom 🙂 Jenn and Scott also gave me a yummy box of chocolates…Thanks Scott, Jenn, Kayla, & Dalani 🙂 Missed you guys on Sunday!
So…Spring is here and it’s colder now than it was on Thanksgiving and Christmas…how crazy is that. I’m itchin’ to get outdoors, for some sunshine, and some outdoor activities…like camping, beaching, and just plain ole getting out of this apartment. (By the way…still no word on the moving out situation…I’m still here.)
Hope you all had a great Holiday!
Hugs,
