I’m loving my bright white walls in the newly made over craft room. They scream for color to be added and who am I to not listen to screaming walls?
Dyeing coffee filters is certainly not a new concept but it was new to me and totally fun and addictive. Here’s what you need:
Coffee filters
Canvas Corp Glimmer Glaze in assorted colors
H20
Assorted bowls to make your mixture
Disposable gloves
Clothespins and line for drying
Staples & a stapler
How to:
1. Add Glimmer Glaze to bowls. Dilute with water, as desired, to fade the color.
2. Scrunch up coffee filters.
3. Add filters to dyes and allow them to soak up the mists.
4. Squeeze excess mists from the filters.
5. Hang to dry! Drying time depends on heat and humidity. This was a hot day with low humidity and the filters were dry in just over an hour. Alternately, you can dry these in a warm 200 degree oven- lay flat in one layer on a baking sheet. Keep a close eye on them. Should take about 10 minutes.
